I also attempted to make 13 different treats in 2021 and drove my partner up the wall with cookies on every surface of our 1 bedroom. This year I finally pared it down to 6.

The one recipe I make without fail for the holidays is the NYT dirty chai earthquakes— there’s warming spices and coffee and browned butter and they are so so delicious.

I usually pick three cookies to make each year. This year is Sohlas Fruit Doodle Cookies (Raspberry Cookies with Chocolate Crumble), Matcha Black Sesame Shortbread from Sue Li at NY Times Cooking and Pistachio, Halva Chocolate Coolies from Molly Baz.

I’m interested in the Sourdough Hazelnut Rosemary Shortbread you had in the ill advised giant cookie box.

Thanks for sharing these recipes!

This was my second year baking Christmas cookies. Freezing batches of dough really helped me not go totally insane even though I had multiple cookies and baked cookies for different groups of people at different times!
